The units
The land form stores area in acres. Detail pages also show an approximate hectare conversion. One hectare is 10,000 square metres; one acre is 4,046.8564224 square metres. You can use the land area converter before entering a figure.
Rounding and evidence
Conversion does not make an approximate measurement exact. Ask the advertiser how the area was calculated and compare it with the offered parcel. The area might include tracks, wooded edges or other space that does not suit your intended use.
Correcting a figure
Advertisers can edit acreage in their listing form. Save the change and complete any resulting review. If another advert looks inaccurate, use Report this listing and describe the discrepancy. Do not include sensitive documents in a public enquiry.
